On 3rd April 2025, BAPL held its annual retailer webinar.
Broadcaster, Charlotte Smith, expertly introduced and chaired the event, which gave retailers, political stakeholders and others the chance to hear direct from BAPL growers.
BAPL executive chair, Ali Capper, provided an update on:
- The current political and economic landscape for growers
- Recent sales and market share data
- Consumer insights – what and how people are buying apples and pears
- Communications success stories from BAPL – social media , lobbying and retailer engagement
A grower panel then answered questions from the audience on topics as diverse as innovation, varietal development, climate change, labour and orchard planting plans.
