Annual British apple supermarket sales data
Each month, British Apples & Pears limited collates data from our grower members to track British apple and pear sales to UK supermarkets.
Annual British apple sales data is provided below. The data ‘year’ runs from September to August to reflect the British growing season. Our harvest generally starts in September each year.
2024/25
Here’s the same annual data presented as a percentage of all British apples sold, by supermarkets (green line). The red line is a comparison data point of the grocery market share for that supermarket. We would expect the share of British apples sold to be about the same as the supermarket’s grocery market share, but some are doing much better than others.
